Our body of work is a collaborative exploration of the intersection between violence, gender, and fairy tales. Reflecting upon the nature of oral storytelling, we connect the life cycles and rebirths of myth making to those of images. The Holga, a toy camera, is a bridge between us that offers a spirit of playful wonder opening a portal into myth. We have often described our picture making as moments when we become extensions of each other, ready for the instant where movement and light coalesce.
